An exhibition to meaningfully tackle our climate emergency

In partnership with Purpose Disruptors, we are excited to provide our 8Creators with the opportunity to have your work exhibited as part of this year's Good Life 2030 campaign, at a globally recognised London gallery on 25th April 2023.

Research has shown that we need to halve carbon emissions by 2030 to minimise the worst effects of climate change. Rather than ask, ‘What should we do?’, Purpose Disruptors asked people, what a good life in 2030 looked like to them. What they found was clear - a desire to be more connected with ourselves, others and nature.

Purpose Disruptors believe that if this shift took place, it would not only improve the quality of people's lives, but also have profound environmental and social benefits. BUT, to make this a reality they need YOUR help to build an emotional connection by showing what a more connected future might look like.  A 2030 Good Life is ours to create.

The brief

WeAre8 invites artists, creatives, photographers and emerging filmmakers from across the globe, to create a piece of work that shows what a good life in 2030 really can look like through greater connectedness.

What are you waiting for? Grab your phone, camera or laptop. Submissions could be as simple as:

  • A photo of: an embrace with a friend, a loved one, that favourite pet. Your favourite spot, tree or mountain.
  • A video of: old memories compiled together, your take on scenic serenity, a spoken manifesto for a more connected future.
  • A piece of artwork/inspirational poster that depicts a life full of greater connectedness.

You might choose to depict just one of the three connectedness themes (self / others / nature) or you may showcase all three within your work.

Take a look here at the research on what greater connectedness means.
