AJ Pritchard, Curtis Pritchard and Abbie Quinnen launch long-term partnership with WeAre8

WeAre8 UK

Monday 14 February 2022 London, United Kingdom: AJ Pritchard, Curtis Pritchard and Abbie Quinnen announce the first creator challenge kicking off WeAre8’s Creator Fund. As part of WeAre8’s commitment to a hate-free social feed, the February Challenge ‘It Must Be Love’, inspires creators all over the world to express their true selves in a judgement-free zone. And this is what the 8Stage is all about, with creators bringing a different perspective on their lives and regaining full control of their content.

Partners AJ Pritchard and Abbie Quinnen’s expression of the ‘It Must Be Love’ challenge occurs at Dance Aic, Fulham, London, where the dancing partners first set eyes on each other. Curtis also joins them with his own twist! Their heartwarming expression of their love can be seen exclusively on WeAre8 where the trio are uniting their fans in support of their chosen charity - the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital’s Burns Unit (CW+) - who treated Quinnen when she suffered third-degree burns injuries in 2021.

This challenge is the start of a longer-term partnership between WeAre8 and the Pritchard brothers and Abbie Quinnen, who are verified creators on the 8Stage; a feed of exclusive celebrity and creator content, free from hate and controlling algorithms. Speaking recently on the pressure of mainstream social media platforms, AJ Pritchard said “I don’t read comments on social media any more, but I know that Abbie reads every single comment. With no comments on WeAre8, only expressions of love and support, we no longer have to worry. It really hits home that this platform allows you to spread love and just be happy”. Quinnen also chimed in, saying “it allows you to be yourself”. As a safe online space that promotes sharing positivity, the 8Stage is the ideal outlet for Quinnen and the Pritchard’s joyful content and creative dance routines.

“Returning to the place AJ and I met to express our love, and then sharing that with our followers in a digital space free from negativity has been the best Valentine’s gift ever. Being creative on the 8Stage enables us to raise important funds and reach our followers in a safe, positive online environment.

Going through such a traumatic experience, the safety that CW+ provided was honestly a lifesaver for me. The importance of having CW+ as a registered charity on the WeAre8 app & being able to pay money forward through watching ads is helping the charity & people when they need it most.”

Abbie Quinnen, Creator

“Raising money for charities is such a fundamental part of what I do, and I am grateful to WeAre8 for the opportunity it’s giving creators like me to reach even more people. This challenge is exactly what interacting online should all be about - sharing joy and unity with each other and supporting worthy causes. We’re looking forward to sharing the love with everyone and we can’t wait to see other creators submissions”.

AJ Pritchard, Creator

About WeAre8

WeAre8 is a social app that gets money into your pocket every time you watch an ad, and where you join millions of people to change the world in just two minutes a day.

Redefining social media, WeAre8 marks a new era of online connectivity by having a feel-good factor at its core. Its 8 community opts in to watch brand ads over the top of an immersive feed - the 8Stage - which is full of exclusive content from the most inspiring celebrities and personalities, enabling them to earn up to £1 per day. With an earning and donation mechanic built into its advertising model, WeAre8 facilitates a positive impact for its users by uniting them with everyday changemakers to create tangible change that helps tackle the world's most pressing environmental and social issues.

As an advertising platform, WeAre8 enables users to reclaim their economic value and protect the planet, rewarding users for their time and donating to charitable causes every time they watch an advert. For every £1 spent by brands, 61p is diverted to consumers and ethical causes.

By puing people and purpose first, instead of profiteering, WeAre8 also combats the existing wasteful and inefficient online advertising delivery process by offering brands 100% engagement and transformational insights through user questionnaires.

Media tech entrepreneur Sue Fennessy leads WeAre8 with a mission to make it easy for brands to redirect billions of dollars of advertising spend back to people and the planet in a way that drives beer business results.

In 2020, WeAre8 was certified as a B-Corporation, confirming the company meets the highest standards of social and environmental impact.
